Seville

Walking tour of Seville

It is hard not to love Seville. The orange scent, the Cathedral with tinkling fountain, the tapas, the dances – Seville will slowly win you over as it did to Hemingway back in 1923. On a short guided walking tour, we will wander around the Barrio de Santa Cruz, Seville’s oldest quarter, and navigate through historic palaces, churches, and hidden passageways while learning about the city’s past. Standing out amongst the monuments is the Royal Alcazar, which has a magnificent blend between Christian and Mudejar architecture. Nearby, also visit the world’s largest Gothic Cathedral, which stands on the remains of a great mosque from the 12th century. You can still see the mosque’s original minaret at the Giralda Tower while the Cathedral itself holds the monumental tomb of Christopher Columbus and an astonishing gold altarpiece.

Flamenco & Tapas Tasting

Flamenco roots run hundred of years deep in Spain despite becoming popular only in the 19th century. The combination of complex rhythms and dance moves is a living culture in Andalucia and one of Spain’s most treasured heritage. On one evening, we will head to an intimate bar frequented by local young talents that come to perform. Through the show, we will get to know the different stages of Flamenco, get to know the dancers, and enjoy spontaneous movements and exceptional music. After the show, continue heading to the buzzing city center, where we will rub shoulders with the locals in search of Seville’s top tapas.

Your host will personally tour you around the ground, from the acorn-filled land where the pig grazes to the salting area and the bodegas where the hams are hung to cure. Then, it is tasting time: enjoy freshly cut Jamon served with pairing drinks and other local delicacies.

The day will end in Ronda, one of Spain’s most impressive towns nested on both sides of a 120-meters gorge.
