Snowmobiling with mini skidoos

A snowmobile ride is a highlight of any Arctic adventure and not to be missed. After a safety briefing, we will set off on a tailormade excursion into the wilderness, roam on an endless blanket of untouched snow, and experience the speed. Adults and teenagers can share a snowmobile while children can be pulled along in a sleigh. Once we arrive at a private area, it’s time to bring out the mini Skidoos and let the children drive and experience the thrill of the ride.

Arctic ice fishing

Ice fishing is one of the most common hobbies for Nordic people in Lapland, and there are hundreds of fresh lakes and rivers around the area where you can try this nordic experience. We will reach one of the lakes, either by car or snowmobile, and secure a private area for the afternoon. The rest is fairly straightforward; we drill a hole on the ice, place a small bait on the hook, and wait. While waiting, we can enjoy some hot drinks and create a fire for our sausage barbeque. Good luck!

Searching for Santa in his secret hut

Live the real Christmas story with the entire family as you search for father Christmas in his secret hideaway hut. In the snow-white morning, your driver will drive you through the remote wilderness until you arrive at the foot of a fell that has spectacular views over snowy forests and hills. You will meet an elf, Santa’s most trusted advisors, and receive your riddles to find the right path to the hidden hut. There, Santa has been waiting eagerly to talk to you, and maybe he has a present with him – only if you are not on the naughty list.

Husky Sledding

Enjoy an epic adventure in the wilderness with your own team of Alaskan Huskies. After learning some basic driving techniques and with the children wrapped up in warm furs, we set off into the deep woods. You will hear a lot of laughter at first, but as we slide further into the wild, the barking of the dogs subsides, and all you can hear is the pounding of paws and the sound of the sled – a truly magical experience.

Day 6 - 9

Rovaniemi

Meet the Reindeer

Follow the footsteps of the natives – the reindeer and their herders – to a typical farm deep in the wild forest. Warmly wrapped and tucked in the sleigh, enjoy being pulled through all-white scenery that looks like it’s straight out of a fairytale. You will arrive at a Lappish Kota and have lunch with a local reindeer herder while hearing more fascinating stories about Sami culture and life that revolves around reindeer.

A day at Ranua Wildlife Park

On this full-day trip to Ranua, get the opportunity to meet and get up close with all kinds of Arctic wildlife. There are around 50 Arctic species that currently reside in the park, including the polar bear, wolverine, grey wolf, and arctic fox. All animals here live in naturalistic, large enclosures, which allows them to rest, hide and interact socially with other species. A private caretaker guide will accompany us and share detailed information about the animals and their personalities.
