Ultimate Northern Light Chase


Trip Overview

This 11-day expedition is designed to give you a great chance to tick the Northern Lights off your bucket list while still enjoying a fun-filled holiday. Starting in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, you will explore its magnificent monuments and cross the Gulf to uncover Tallinn’s winter charm. Then, set off to Finnish Lapland for your epic Northern Light chase where you will cover miles of magical wintery landscapes using all kinds of Arctic transportations: The snowmobile, huskies, ice breaker cruise and on foot. We will enjoy a short break at Stockholm before initiating our second Northern Light pursue in the northernmost tip of Norway. Your journey ends at Oslo, a city that leads in cutting-edge food, fashion, and art scenes and is consistently considered to be the happiest city on earth.

Day 1 - 3


Private Transfer to Helsinki's Hotel

Introductory Tour to Helsinki

On this half-day tour, you will be shown some of the most interesting places in Helsinki, starting with the neoclassical Senate Square, the Government Palace, and the Enormous Helsinki Cathedral. We will also visit the monument of Finnish composer, Jean Sibelius, and tour the Temppeliaukio Church that is built directly into solid rock. Take a seat inside the dome and let the calm ambiance and beautiful acoustic serenade you through your winter night

Day Cruise to Talinn, Estonia

Take a two hours ferry ride across the Gulf of Finland and head to what is perhaps the best-preserved medieval city in all Europe: Tallinn. Taking a walk within its Old Town is like traveling back in time with 500-years buildings lined up the cobblestoned street and medieval alleys stuffed with historic houses. The scenery is stunning in winter especially if enjoyed from Toompea Hill, where one can witness the entire city panorama covered in snow. You will also have plenty of time to explore the impressive Russian Orthodox Cathedral, learn interesting Soviet History at the museum, or simply hang out with a glass of Estonian-crafted beer in one of the street-side pubs.

Northern Light Chase in Snowmobile

Meet your snowmobile instructor and get familiar with your Arctic vehicle. Once you get a grip on the handle and essential hand signals, off you go into the wild woods, roam on an endless blanket of untouched snow, and enjoy the majestic polar sky, moon and stars while looking for possible Aurora Borealis.

Visit a Reindeer Farm

On this activity, we will follow the footsteps of the natives – the reindeer and their herders – to a typical farm where you will enjoy stories of Lapland’s eldest occupation and savor in delicious farm lunch. After lunch, let the reindeer show you around the all-white surroundings and sled you through the fairy-like woods wrapped in Arctic silence.

Husky Safari

Go on another epic adventure into the wilderness with your own team of Alaskan Huskies. It is a joyful ride in the beginning, but when you enter the deep woods, and the only sound that you can hear is the dogs’ panting and their paws hitting on the snow, it suddenly turns into a lifetime experience. Enjoy plenty of interaction and photo sessions with these lovely beasts while your guide shares some incredible Arctic stories.

Send a Letter from the Arctic

The only place on earth where Christmas is celebrated all year long, Santa Claus Village is regarded as the “official residence” of Santa himself. Here, you will find plenty of souvenirs and have the opportunity to write special greetings from Arctic Circle to your loved ones at home – delivered by the cheerful postal elves

Ice Floating Experience

The legendary Sampo Ice Breaking Cruise offers a truly unique experience where you will roam across the frozen Bothnian Sea while crushing every inch of ice along the way. Then, the ship will create an ice-free pool for all the guests to jump in and have a swim in the Arctic Sea. Your private half-day tour is designed to suits your interest; perhaps you would like to stroll the medieval island and see the Royal Palace or a Vasa ship that once lied on the sea bed for 333 years; perhaps you would like to go behind the scenes of the famous “Mamma Mia” movies or have a bite of Nordic flavors from one of Södermalm’s vibrant restaurants. Northern Lights Minibus Chase

Head out into the wilderness for your Northern Light chase in the Arctic capital. Your guide is an experienced light chaser who will find the perfect spot to camp depending on the weather forecast and teach you the right tricks to snap beautiful pictures when the dancing lights reveal itself.

Half day Tour of Tromso

Acquaint yourself with the Arctic capital by visiting some of its famous landmarks. Kick things off by visiting the Polar Museum that showcases courageous polar expeditions that have taken place from the city along with present-day challenges faced by the Arctic locals. We will also admire the remarkable Arctic Cathedral and take a cable car ride to Fjellheisen at blue hours for jaw-dropping views of the city.

Northern Lights from the Sea

In the evening, venture out to the sea onboard a privately chartered yacht to the remote water of Tromso – far enough from the light pollution. The ship’s experienced crews will help you find the beautiful aurora while you sit back, soak in the refreshing Arctic nature and enjoy a fascinating celebration of Nordic Cuisine

Gifted with exciting design, culture, and easy access to the great outdoors, Oslo is the perfect city to end your journey on a high note. Ease gently into the city with a stroll along Aker Brygge, a newly developed waterfront area with plenty of opportunities for al fresco dining and wining. Then, head to Vigeland Park which boasts more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron, all crafted by Gustav Vigeland. You can also spend some time learn about the history of skiing at Holmenkollen or dive right into Karl Johans Gate, Oslo’s main shopping street, and enjoy an aromatic roast at one of the street-side cafés.
